A trip to &K with a gift certificate in hand, meant I came home with a Marimekko teapot! Trust me, tea tastes much better now.
Guess who has new pillows…from where? Hand-made straight from my mother. The pattern goes great with our Orla Kiely bedspread.
We arrived back to Amsterdam after a successful weekend in Copenhagen. I’ve decided/reconfirmed that Danish design is definitely my cup of tea. I also had a lot of fun snapping photos and saw I had some themes between architecture, people and interior spaces.

And of course we couldn’t leave CPH without seeing the Royal Guard…

Continuing on from our weekend here’s some Marimekko treasures that I have to say are not for me although I wish.

We popped into the store Emma B. and I couldn’t help myself be taken back to my childhood because my brother and I were lucky enough to have Marimekko bed covers and sheets as kids. Although I haven’t seen mine since the old days, these car napkins are the exact design of my brother’s. The animal bib is for a friend who is soon having a baby, and if anyone doesn’t know Marimekko you may recognize the floral print being shown, which is actually the wrapping paper for the bib.

If you’re wondering who will be receiving the napkin cars, that’s for you Mom. Surprise!
I am utterly and hopelessly in love with Sanna Annukka! I’ll let her work speak for herself but I’m especially fond of her designs for Marimekko. I also wish I could get my hands on one of those Marks and Spencer biscuit tins.

I must add that when my brother and I were kids we each had Marimekko bed covers. Thanks mom!
